About Me
I am a 22-year-old actor/director from Cherry Hill, New Jersey- a suburb right outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I grew up with my parents, who were both born and raised in the city of Philly, and my sibling, who is also a performer. I started out as a dancer, taking ballet at the age of 2 and then venturing into other styles like tap and jazz. I got an unconventional start in theater. When I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s is an autoimmune condition that attacks the digestive tract. My condition was severe upon first diagnosis, so I had to give up lots of activities in my life, such as outdoor sports, in order to protect myself and let my body heal. In search of new things to do, I tried out theater. The first musical I ever did was Seussical Jr. I was cast as a Who and it changed my life completely. I fell in love. I continued doing theater in school as I grew up. It was a production of Fiddler on the Roof that made me decide I wanted to do theater for the rest of my life. I was cast as Yente the Matchmaker right after my 16th birthday, which I still find humorous. Hearing the audience laugh on opening night, and knowing that it was my actions that were causing them joy, made me want to do this for the rest of my life. As someone who has gone through hardship, being an escape for others, or a vessel for them to feel their emotions, is what I want out of my career. During my last year of high school, I auditioned for college theater programs to pursue my BFA. I landed at Ohio University’s BFA Musical Theater program, from which I graduate in May 2025. I look forward to taking everything I’ve learned with me out into our field.
